Do I have to cosplay?
No, Cosplay is not required at all! We encourage all attendees who wish to cosplay to take advantage of the various photoshoots, and cosplay related events throughout the day.
Can I have a weapon as part of my costume?
PLEASE NOTE: The Goodman Center hosts many children and family events and does not allow realistic military/police cosplays on the property. If you have any questions regarding this please contact us.
Prop weapons are allowed at Chizu Con provided they are appropriately marked. Appropriate use and marking of prop weapons is at the discretion of Chizu Con staff and includes, but is not limited to the following: no live metals, realistic guns or military/police equipment, or live flames. Sci-fi props and foam are allowed and will also need to be marked safe by staff. Please follow any further directions provided by Chizu Con or Goodman Center staff as they arise. Be aware of and follow all city and state laws when designing and bringing your cosplay.
Do I need to know how to play to attend?
No previous gaming experience is necessary. There will be a variety of difficulty levels, so everyone will have game options fitting their level or experience. Convention staff or volunteers may also be available to assist with gaming questions.
What about pets?
There are no pets allowed inside the Center. Emotional support is not a protected class under state law. Service animals are allowed, and staff will be notified of it's attendance.
Is the convention handicap accessible?
Yes, all areas of the center used by Chizu Con attendees are handicap accessible.
Are there places to eat nearby?
Chizu 2026 will have food trucks!
They will be parked on the public street parking just outside the Goodman Center.

Where can I park?
Chizu has expanded to both the Ironworks and Brassworks buildings of the Goodman Center, so we will have parking available in both lots and on the street for free!
