PANELS & DANCE APPLICATIONS

Panels will be hosted in the Brassworks building, and
the Dance Room (for Idol, Kpop or other dance performances) will be hosted in the Ironworks building.

The general panel application will be used for both, please consider the available time slots and if your event will be for a 16+ aged audience. Please email chizuconusa@gmail.com with any questions.

Panel & Dance Performance Rules 2026

 

  • Panels & Dance applications are open until June 28th and could take up to one month to process after closing.

  • Badges must be purchased before your panels/performances. They will be reimbursed at Registration after panels or performances are completed, with a maximum of 2 for panels and 4 for performances. (You may have more hosts than the max reimbursed, but those additions would not be compensated.)

  • All presenters must be 18+ years old or have an 18+ years old parent or guardian present during their event.

  • Presentations & performances should align with Chizu’s family friendly atmosphere, but there will be 16+ timeslot options available during the evening availability.Please consider this when selecting your preferences. 

  • Hate speech, including ethnic/racial or religious slurs, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc., will not be tolerated.

  • No loose glitter.

  • For the safety of contestants, the audience, and the venue, no pyrotechnics, smoke bombs, flashbangs, or similar special effects permitted.

  • AV is available at the Goodman Center, but if you have a separate system for performances it is recommended to bring it, just in case we experience a ‘Classic Convention AV Issue’. 
     

  • PANEL APPS - 1 hour each, with 14 slots total between panels room 1 and 2, from 11am to 7pm (final end time between 8-8:30pm). The 6pm and 7pm times are available for 16+ attendance if requested.
     

  • DANCE APPS - 2 hours each, with 5 slots total, from 10:30am to 6:30pm (final end time between 8:30-9pm). The 6:30pm timeslot is available for 16+ attendance if requested.

Chizu Con 2025

Panel Rules & Guidelines

Failure to follow the guidelines stated on this page may result in removal from future applications.​​​​
 

  • Proxy/Agented, "sublets" or swaps of Panel hosting must be approved by Chizu Con by August 2nd. If you cannot attend, provide contact to a panelist that is equivalent or similar to your own work. Providing an equivalent will help Chizu maintain a mixed atmosphere. No Shows will not be considered for future events.
     

  • Approval & completion of the Panel includes 1 badge for 2025 (reimbursement to be provided the day of the event). 
     

  • All panels presented must match the descriptions provided in the approved applications. 
     

  • Live metals and realistic weaponry, such as steel swords and military gear, are not allowed at the Goodman Center. Fantasy gear and foam are welcome. 
    ​

  • Applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
